so, i got some good news/bad news about break

good news is i succeeded in not spreading whatever virus i had to anyone in arlington heights

bad news is that that virus kept me sick for pretty much all of break, so i wont get to see any of my friends from back home for another 3 months...sorry guys

but there's more good news too...it's sunny and warm again, and nate lewis isnt teaching chem this term

late merry christmas and happy new year

something happened yesterday that i never expected to happen.....i was stranded by a snow storm in southern california!
so this weekend, i went on a retreat with CCF, and we went up into the mountains near here.  it started off with normal weather, and then saturday night it started snowing.  it was kinda fun at first (it was powder, but the lack of usable hills was a bit of a disappointment), and we went to sleep, assuming we'd leave first thing in the morning...thing is, it didnt stop snowing, and in the morning there was about a foot of snow.  it was a fairly remote area, with only 3 roads down to the bottom.  while someone went to get snow tires for us, we found out that there was a rock slide on one road, a 50+ car pileup on another, and the third was closed for maintenance, so we were stranded for the day.  this gave an excellent opportunity to not do our homework, since we wouldnt get back in time to turn it in anyway, and the day we were stranded was probably the best of the retreat.  anyways, i'm safely back in the warm part of california, where i plan to stay and not see snow again until i come home for christmas.

i just got back from watching the incredibles.  awesome movie, by the way, and i highly recommend it.

i also started playing FFVII a couple days ago.  awesome game, and i also highly recommend it.

so recently i've had a lot of free time, and i'm trying to think of stuff to do with it.  suggestions are welcome, especially since my wrists are starting to hurt from playing games so much, and i dont want to get carpel tunnel.

well, it's bedtime for me.  good night.
